🛡️ SAFETY & PLAYER CONDUCT

1. REGISTRATION, CHRONO & SAFETY BRIEF

  • All players must register/sign in before entering the game area.

  • All weapons must be chronographed before use.

  • All players must attend the main event safety briefing.

  • Players must follow any additional site or scenario-specific briefing.

  • Players arriving late must receive a safety briefing before joining the game.

⚠️ NO BRIEF = NO PLAY.

Event-specific game rules announced during the briefing may replace normal gameplay rules for that event. Safety rules remain in force at all times.

2. PLAYER CONDUCT

GangstaCity Events operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Cheating or cheat calling

  • Aggressive, abusive or threatening behaviour

  • Violence towards players or staff

  • Deliberately dangerous play

  • Arguing with marshals

  • Deliberately ignoring event or safety rules

Anyone behaving in this manner may be removed from the game or event and may be banned from future GangstaCity events. Team points may also be deducted where appropriate.

If you have a problem during the event, report it to a marshal immediately. Do not wait until hours later when it may no longer be possible to deal with the situation properly.

Undercover marshals may be operating during the event and can identify themselves using a GC high-visibility vest.

⚠️ THE MARSHAL'S WORD IS FINAL.

3. MEDICAL INFORMATION & FITNESS TO PLAY

Players must notify event staff of any relevant medical condition or medication that may affect them during the event.

Essential medication should be carried in your top left-hand pocket together with any relevant information which may be required in an emergency.

Players with serious medical conditions should make themselves known to the medical or marshal team before play begins.

First aiders will be identified during the main safety briefing. A fast-response vehicle carrying first aid equipment will be available during the event.

Players are responsible for deciding whether they are physically fit enough to take part. If you become unwell, injured or unable to safely continue, stop playing and notify a marshal.

4. EMERGENCIES & CEASEFIRE

🚨 CEASEFIRE

If a ceasefire is called:

  1. Stop firing immediately.

  2. Make your weapon safe.

  3. Remain where you are unless instructed otherwise.

  4. Follow all marshal instructions.

  5. Do not resume play until specifically told it is safe to do so.

If instructed to place your weapon down, do so safely.

In the event of fire, leave the immediate area, warn others, notify a marshal immediately and follow evacuation instructions.

The emergency muster/assembly point and relevant evacuation routes will be identified during the safety briefing.

Emergency access routes must be kept clear at all times.

5. SUSPICIOUS OBJECTS

Any unidentified or suspicious object found on site must be reported to a marshal.

⚠️ DO NOT PICK IT UP. DO NOT MOVE IT. DO NOT TOUCH IT.

Keep other players away and wait for marshal instructions.

6. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

  • Eye protection must be worn whenever required within the event and game areas.

  • Do not remove eye protection until inside an authorised safe area and marshals have confirmed it is safe.

  • Eye protection must adequately cover the whole eye socket, including side protection.

  • Where safety glasses are used, they must meet an appropriate ballistic standard such as EN166.

  • Full-face protection is strongly recommended.

  • Players sleeping in a live game area must wear suitable eye protection with a retaining strap.

  • Hearing protection must be worn at all times.

  • Boots providing suitable foot and ankle protection are mandatory.

⚠️ TRAINERS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

7. DAMAGED OR DISLODGED EYE PROTECTION

If eye protection becomes damaged, dislodged, heavily fogged or otherwise unusable, do not simply remove it in the game area.

Stop playing, protect your eyes, make other players aware and notify a marshal. Leave the game area safely in accordance with marshal instructions.

8. SITE SAFETY

GangstaCity sites may contain trenches, berms, bunkers, pits, vertical drops, hidden holes, ditches, uneven ground, rubble, loose bricks, barbed wire and sharp objects.

  • Take particular care at night or in poor visibility.

  • Out-of-bounds areas must never be entered.

  • Do not climb structures unless they have specifically been identified as playable.

  • Do not stand in front of moving vehicles under any circumstances.

🔫 WEAPON & ENGAGEMENT RULES

9. SAFE-ZONE WEAPON HANDLING

Before entering the safe zone:

  • Remove the magazine.

  • Clear the chamber.

  • Remove any ammunition feeding source where appropriate.

  • Make the weapon safe.

  • Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

No loaded magazines may be fitted to a weapon in the safe zone. Do not fire, dry fire or test fire in the safe zone.

Weapon testing must only take place in a designated test or chrono area.

Pyrotechnics must not be ignited or used within safe zones.

10. WEAPON CHRONOGRAPH & FPS LIMITS

  • AEG / GBB Rifle / Pistol: maximum 370 FPS using 0.20g BBs.

  • DMR locked to semi: maximum 450 FPS using 0.20g BBs.

  • Bolt-action sniper: maximum 500 FPS using 0.20g BBs.

  • A 25-metre minimum engagement distance applies to all DMR and sniper rifles.

Random chronograph checks may take place throughout the event.

Any weapon found to be over the permitted limit must immediately be removed from play and either returned to the player's vehicle or left with event staff in the designated secure area.

Anyone deliberately attempting to cheat the chronograph process will be removed from the event.

⚠️ DO NOT TAKE A HOT WEAPON INTO PLAY.

11. FIRE MODES

Standard weapons must use single-shot/semi-automatic fire inside buildings, when firing into or out of buildings, when firing onto or from designated structures such as Tower 44, and when firing into or from game vehicles unless specifically stated otherwise.

Full-auto fire from standard rifles into, out of or within buildings is prohibited.

12. SUPPORT WEAPONS

A support weapon must represent an equivalent real-world support weapon such as a MINIMI, PKM or similar recognised light/general-purpose machine gun.

An M4 fitted with a drum magazine does not automatically become a support weapon.

  • 1 support weapon per full 4 players in a call sign.

  • 8 players = maximum 2 support weapons.

  • 12 players = maximum 3 support weapons.

Support weapons may use controlled bursts inside buildings and when firing into or out of buildings.

⚠️ CONTROLLED BURSTS – MAXIMUM 3 SECONDS.

Overkill or excessive sustained fire will not be tolerated.

13. MAGAZINES & AMMUNITION

There is no overall ammunition quantity limit unless otherwise stated for the event.

  • Standard weapons must use approved mid-capacity magazines.

  • High-capacity magazines, box magazines and EPM1 magazines are not permitted in standard non-support weapons.

  • Support weapons may use appropriate support-weapon magazines.

14. BLIND FIRING

Blind firing is strictly prohibited.

You must be able to clearly see where you are firing.

Do not fire around a corner, through a doorway or over an obstacle without being able to see your target area.

15. SHOOTING THROUGH GAPS

Do not shoot through small gaps, viewing slots, cracks, fences or openings which a player could not reasonably pass through.

⚠️ IF YOU CAN'T CLIMB THROUGH IT, DON'T SHOOT THROUGH IT.

16. HEAD SHOTS

Head shots count.

Players must not deliberately target another player's face where another reasonable target is available.

Use common sense and good sportsmanship.

17. HITS

  1. Clearly call "HIT!"

  2. Raise your hand.

  3. Stop firing.

  4. Follow the medic and bleed-out rules.

A direct BB strike to your body or worn equipment counts as a hit.

⚠️ GUN HITS DO NOT COUNT.

A BB striking the weapon you are holding does not eliminate you.

Overkill will not be tolerated.

18. DEAD PLAYERS

Dead players must not communicate tactical information.

Do not reveal enemy positions, give directions, use hand signals, provide radio information or warn teammates.

💀 DEAD MEN DON'T TALK.

19. BANG RULE / CLOSE-RANGE ENGAGEMENT

GangstaCity does not operate a mandatory bang rule.

Players may offer a bang call at their discretion.

Common sense and restraint must be used at very close range.

Do not deliberately cause unnecessary pain or injury to another player.

20. KNIFE KILLS

  • Only soft rubber or foam training knives may be used.

  • Real knives or fixed-blade weapons must not be used for this purpose.

  • A knife kill must be performed using a gentle tap to the shoulder or side.

  • Do not stab, strike, swing a training knife, use excessive force or remove another player's training knife from their equipment.

  • Karate chops do not count.

  • If a stealth knife kill is made, the eliminated player must not deliberately shout or reveal the attacker's position.

Knife kills use the normal 5-minute bleed-out and may be medic'd.

🩹 MEDIC, CAPTURE & INTELLIGENCE RULES

21. MEDIC RULES

When hit, raise your hand and clearly call "HIT!". You may then call for a medic.

⏱️ STANDARD BLEED-OUT: 5 MINUTES.

  • The timer starts from the original hit and cannot be reset or restarted.

  • Players may not deliberately shorten their bleed-out period.

  • If not medic'd within 5 minutes, proceed to your team's designated regen, respawn or flip-card location.

  • BB, knife, grenade, TAG, mortar and IED kills use the normal 5-minute bleed-out unless specifically stated otherwise.

  • Players may only be medic'd outside buildings, sangars and vehicles.

  • A hit player may be moved by either team, but physical contact must be maintained.

  • A player returns to play only when an authorised medic applies the relevant medic tab.

  • A medic may be revived by another player using the tabs being carried by that medic.

⚠️ NO SELF-MEDIC. SELF-MEDIC IS CHEATING.

22. MEDIC ALLOCATION

  • Up to 5 players: 1 medic, 2 tabs per player, maximum 10 tabs.

  • 6–11 players: 2 medics; each medic carries 1 tab per player, giving 2 tabs per player across both medics.

  • 12+ players: 3 medics; each medic carries 1 tab per player.

Examples: 6 players = 12 tabs across 2 medics; 8 players = 16 tabs across 2 medics; 12 players = 36 tabs across 3 medics.

23. CAPTURE RULES

  • Do not struggle, fight or physically resist once captured.

  • Where required by the scenario, a medic tab must have been applied within the 5-minute bleed-out period for the capture to remain valid.

  • Only approved Blue Cobra plastic training cuffs may be used.

  • Cuffs must only be applied to the front and only with the player's consent.

  • No player may be forced into something they do not wish to do.

  • Stress positions, bagging, dangerous physical restraint, humiliating treatment and excessive force are prohibited.

⏱️ MAXIMUM DETENTION: 30 MINUTES.

Common sense and player welfare come first.

24. SEARCHING CAPTURED PLAYERS

  • Captured players may be searched for game intelligence and to identify weapons being marked out of play.

  • Searches must remain within the agreed game mechanic.

  • Game intelligence may only be placed within outer-clothing pockets.

  • No intrusive searching is permitted.

  • Equipment must never be physically removed from a captured player.

  • Each weapon must be identified if it is being marked out of play.

  • If a weapon was not identified during the search, it may be used again if the player is successfully returned to play.

  • When moving a captured player, maintain safe physical contact such as a hand on their shoulder or arm.

25. INTELLIGENCE

  • A player does not have to volunteer where intelligence is located.

  • If specifically asked whether they are carrying intelligence, deliberately saying they are not when they are is considered cheating.

  • It is the searching player's responsibility to locate the intelligence.

  • USB devices, digital media, game props and intelligence items must be returned to the relevant team leader or event staff.

  • Do not dump or abandon game props around the site.

26. CAPTURE / PROOF-OF-DEATH PHOTOS

Photographs may form part of GangstaCity game mechanics and may be used as proof of kills, captures, HVI captures and scenario objectives.

📸 NO PHOTO = IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

  • Do not create an unsafe situation while taking a photograph.

  • Do not publicly upload a proof-of-death or capture photo until the player's applicable bleed-out period has ended.

  • Players may use personal cameras, smartphones, GoPros or similar recording equipment, including at MOD events, unless specifically instructed otherwise during the briefing.

  • Any location-specific restrictions announced by GangstaCity or the venue must be followed.

27. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS

Deliberately scanning enemy frequencies, monitoring enemy radio traffic, using enemy frequencies or using the opposing team's challenge and response is considered cheating.

Players caught deliberately listening to or interfering with opposing team communications may be removed from the event.

💥 GRENADES, PYROTECHNICS & SMOKE

28. GRENADES – OUTDOORS

💥 OUTDOORS: 5-METRE KILL RADIUS.

Any player within 5 metres is killed unless protected by genuine hard cover.

29. GRENADES – INSIDE BUILDINGS

💥 INSIDE A ROOM: WHOLE ROOM KILLED UNLESS BEHIND HARD COVER.

The normal outdoor 5-metre radius also applies within a large room.

A solid wall or other substantial physical barrier may provide hard cover.

Players in separate rooms behind genuine solid cover are not automatically affected.

30. HARD COVER

Hard cover must provide a substantial physical barrier between the player and the grenade.

Examples include solid walls, concrete structures, suitable substantial barriers and appropriate vehicles where the rules allow.

Another player, a tree, lightweight furniture, small stacks of equipment, ammunition boxes and other lightweight objects do not count as hard cover.

31. IMPACT GRENADES

⚠️ UNDERARM ONLY.

Do not deliberately throw grenades directly at another player's head or body.

32. PYROTECHNICS

  • Only approved pyrotechnics may be used.

  • Standard approved brands include FBS/TLSFX and Enola Gaye.

  • Other pyrotechnics must be specifically approved by the marshal team.

  • Approved timed or impact devices may include TRMR, Dynatex, 209 primer systems, approved 9mm systems and Magflash.

  • No 12g systems are permitted.

  • Nothing above the permitted Mk7 equivalent may be used.

  • No player-created or unauthorised trip wires, remote detonators, IEDs or booby traps may be used.

  • Scenario pyrotechnics outside normal player rules must be controlled or authorised by the marshal team.

33. PYRO MISFIRES & DUDS

If a pyrotechnic device fails to function correctly:

  • Do not immediately approach it.

  • Do not pick it up.

  • Do not attempt to relight it.

  • Do not dismantle it.

  • Keep other players away.

  • Notify a marshal.

Failed or partially initiated pyrotechnics must only be dealt with in accordance with marshal instructions.

34. MORTARS & TAG ROUNDS

FBS mortars and approved TAG rounds are the only launched pyrotechnics permitted for stopping vehicles unless otherwise stated.

  • Minimum firing angle: 45 degrees.

  • Fire towards the approved game area.

  • Never fire horizontally.

  • Never aim directly at people or vehicles.

  • Never fire towards the outer perimeter of the site.

35. TAG / MORTAR VEHICLE KILLS

💥 WITHIN 3 METRE = VEHICLE KILL / 10-MINUTE VEHICLE BLEED-OUT.

An approved TAG or mortar round landing within 1 metre of a vehicle counts as an instant kill for everyone inside.

The vehicle must remain stationary for 10 minutes.

After the bleed-out, the vehicle may return to the FOB for respawn in accordance with marshal instructions.

Normal hand grenades do not disable vehicle movement unless specifically stated otherwise.

36. SMOKE

Smoke is for screening purposes only and has no other game effect unless specifically stated by a marshal.

⚠️ OUTDOOR USE ONLY.

Approved TAG smoke vellums are permitted where allowed.

🚙 GAME VEHICLE RULES

37. GAME VEHICLES

⚠️ MAXIMUM SPEED: 15 MPH.

  • Game vehicles may only be driven by authorised drivers.

  • Vehicles must remain on approved routes unless specifically authorised otherwise.

  • When reversing, a high-visibility marshal or authorised banksman must supervise the vehicle.

  • Vehicle doors must be properly closed while moving.

  • Nobody may hang from the outside of a moving vehicle.

  • Game vehicles must not be stolen or driven by unauthorised players.

38. VEHICLE DRIVER HIT

  • The vehicle must stop immediately.

  • The driver must leave the vehicle and await a medic.

  • Players remaining inside may continue fighting while the vehicle is stationary.

  • The vehicle may move again once the driver has been medic'd or another authorised designated driver takes control.

39. VEHICLE PASSENGER HIT

A passenger who is hit must stop firing and leave the vehicle.

Players may only be medic'd outside the vehicle.

40. EMPTY / DISABLED VEHICLES

If all occupants have been removed from play and the vehicle is left empty, the applicable team must wait 10 minutes before re-entering where the scenario requires it.

The vehicle may then return to its FOB for respawn in accordance with marshal instructions.

41. PYRO & VEHICLES

Do not throw pyrotechnics into vehicles or under vehicles.

Failure to follow vehicle safety rules may result in the vehicle being removed from play.

🎖️ EQUIPMENT, TEAM DRESS & SITE RULES

42. TEAM IDENTIFICATION & DRESS CODE

Team dress codes must be followed throughout the event.

Your team's designated colours or identification must remain clearly visible.

Do not deliberately disguise yourself as the opposing team unless specifically allowed by the scenario.

43. LASERS

  • Green and blue lasers are prohibited.

  • High-powered lasers of any colour are prohibited.

  • Equipment may be spot-checked by event staff.

  • Anyone using prohibited laser equipment may be removed from the event.

44. PERSONAL EQUIPMENT

Players are responsible for their own personal equipment.

GangstaCity Events cannot accept responsibility for personal kit which is lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged during normal event participation.

Keep unnecessary kit to a minimum in game and accommodation areas.

Where possible, spare equipment should be securely stored in your vehicle.

45. DAMAGE TO SITE & PROPERTY

Players must respect the venue and all property on site.

Do not deliberately damage buildings, fixtures, vehicles, props, doors, windows or site equipment.

Any accidental damage must be reported to a marshal immediately.

Deliberate or reckless damage may result in removal from the event.

46. BATTERY CHARGING

Do not leave batteries charging unattended.

Only use suitable chargers and designated charging locations.

Unattended charging presents a serious fire risk.

47. SLEEPING DURING EVENTS

  • Players may sleep within designated live game areas where the event permits it.

  • If sleeping within the live game area, you remain in play and eye protection must remain on with a retaining strap.

  • Players wishing to sleep out of play should use their vehicle or another designated safe-zone location.

  • Notify your command before leaving the game area and again when returning.

  • Sleeping equipment must be packed away and secured when not in use.

  • Tents must not be erected inside buildings due to fire risk.

  • Open-sided marquees may be permitted where approved.

48. FOOD, WATER & COOKING

Players must bring sufficient drinking water for the event.

Do not assume drinking water will be available on site.

Food may be available from an event catering provider where stated.

Cooking is only permitted in designated areas on suitable hard standing.

⚠️ NO COOKING INSIDE BUILDINGS.

49. TOILETS

Use the designated toilets provided around the site.

⚠️ DO NOT USE BUILDINGS OR THE GAME AREA AS A TOILET.

📸 CAMERAS, DRONES /EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES

53. CAMERAS & FILMING

Players may use smartphones, GoPros, action cameras, digital cameras and other personal recording equipment unless specifically instructed otherwise during the event briefing.

Filming must never interfere with gameplay, create a safety hazard, require entry into an out-of-bounds area or override a marshal instruction.

Respect other players and do not deliberately film private changing or personal areas.

54. DRONES

🚫 NO DRONES unless specifically authorised in advance by GangstaCity and the venue.

55. PROPS & MEDIC TABS

All GangstaCity event property must be returned when requested.

This includes game props, intelligence items, medic tabs and specialist equipment.

Please return all issued items at the end of the event.

56. PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY

Every player is responsible for reading these rules, attending the safety briefing, ensuring their equipment is safe, following marshal instructions, playing within the spirit of the game, treating other players with respect, using common sense and reporting safety concerns immediately.

⚠️ IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT A RULE – ASK A MARSHAL.

57. EVENT-SPECIFIC RULES

Different sites and scenarios may require additional rules.

Any additional rules will be explained during the event briefing.

Where an event-specific game rule differs from this document, the rule announced by GangstaCity for that event will apply.

⚠️ FINAL SAFETY REMINDER

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ALWAYS TAKE PRIORITY.

MARSHAL DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

If you have any questions regarding these rules, speak to a member of the GangstaCity team. We are happy to explain anything you are unsure about.
