Participant Terms, Rules & Risk Acknowledgement
By booking onto, signing on for, attending, or participating in an event hosted by Gangsta City Airsoft, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions, event rules, health and safety requirements, age restrictions, and site-specific rules provided by Gangsta City Airsoft. I understand that these terms apply to the event I have booked onto and that I am responsible for making sure I understand the rules before taking part.
1. Participation and Risk Acknowledgement
I understand that airsoft is a physical activity that may involve running, crawling, uneven ground, stairs, low-light areas, confined spaces, loud noises, pyrotechnics, close-quarter scenarios, and contact with BB projectiles. I understand that participation in airsoft carries an inherent risk of injury to myself and others if the activity is not undertaken safely and in accordance with the rules. I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to take part in the event. If I have any medical condition, injury, allergy, disability, medication requirement, or other relevant issue that may affect my ability to participate safely, I agree to inform the appointed first aider or event staff before taking part. I understand that I participate voluntarily and that I am responsible for my own conduct, equipment, and compliance with the rules.
2. Event Rules and Safety Briefing
I agree to read, understand, and follow the basic event rules stated on the Gangsta City Airsoft website and any additional rules provided before or during the event. I agree to attend and listen to the safety briefing before the start of the event. I understand that the safety briefing forms part of the event rules and must be followed at all times. I agree to follow all instructions given by Gangsta City Airsoft staff, marshals, first aiders, safety staff, and event organisers. I understand that marshal decisions are final during the event.
3. Age, Parent/Guardian Consent and Supervision
I confirm that I meet the minimum age requirement for the event I have booked onto. Where a participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms on their behalf and provide accurate emergency contact details. Where Gangsta City Airsoft requires adult supervision for younger players, the supervising adult must remain on site and be contactable throughout the event. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to refuse participation where age requirements, supervision requirements, identification requirements, or safeguarding requirements are not met.
Eye Protection, Face Protection and Hearing Protection
I understand that suitable eye protection must be worn at all times in active game areas. I understand that eye protection must only be removed when instructed that it is safe to do so by a marshal or authorised member of staff. I understand that removing eye protection in an active game area is a serious safety breach and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund. Gangsta City Airsoft strongly advises all players to wear suitable full-face protection.
I understand that airsoft BBs may cause injury to exposed skin, teeth, ears, face, hands, and other unprotected areas.
Gangsta City Airsoft strongly advises players to wear suitable hearing protection, especially where pyrotechnics or loud bangs may be used. If I choose not to wear hearing protection where it is not mandatory, I do so at my own risk.
5. Clothing and Footwear
I understand that suitable footwear must be worn at all times. Trainers are not permitted. I understand that suitable boots or supportive outdoor footwear are required due to the nature of the site, including uneven ground, debris, obstacles, stairs, wet surfaces, and other hazards. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to refuse participation if footwear or clothing is considered unsafe or unsuitable for the event environment. No refund will be given where participation is refused due to unsuitable footwear or clothing.
6. Weapons, Equipment and Chronograph Testing
I agree to comply with all muzzle velocity, joule limit, rate of fire, engagement distance, weapon class, magazine, ammunition, and equipment restrictions set by Gangsta City Airsoft.I agree to submit my weapons, equipment, magazines, gas, HPA setup, or pyrotechnics for testing or inspection when requested by staff or marshals. I understand that random chrono checks may take place at any time during the event. I understand that any weapon found to be over the permitted site limit may be removed from play immediately. I understand that tampering with equipment after testing, increasing power after chrono, bypassing tournament locks, or attempting to avoid testing may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.

7. HPA, Gas and CO₂ Safety
I understand that HPA, gas, and CO₂ systems must be used safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Gangsta City Airsoft rules. Where required, HPA systems must be fitted with an approved tournament lock. I agree not to adjust, tamper with, or increase the power of any HPA, gas, or CO₂ system after chrono testing. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to inspect or remove from play any bottle, regulator, line, magazine, replica, or equipment that appears damaged, unsafe, leaking, overpowered, modified, or unsuitable for use.
8. Pyrotechnics
I understand that only pyrotechnics approved by Gangsta City Airsoft may be used at the event. I agree to read, understand, and follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions for any pyrotechnic device I use. I agree to only use pyrotechnics in accordance with Gangsta City Airsoft rules, site restrictions, marshal instructions, and safety briefing instructions. I understand that homemade, modified, damaged, unsafe, or prohibited pyrotechnics are not allowed. I agree not to throw, place, drop, or use pyrotechnics in a way that may cause unnecessary risk to other participants, staff, marshals, spectators, property, vehicles, buildings, animals, or members of the public. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to remove, prohibit, confiscate, or refuse the use of any pyrotechnic device considered unsafe or unsuitable.
9. Safe Zones, Transport and Public Areas
I agree to follow all safe zone rules. I understand that magazines must be removed, chambers cleared where required, and safeties applied where possible before entering safe zones. I understand that dry firing, test firing, pointing replicas at people, or unsafe handling in safe zones is not permitted unless specifically allowed in a designated test area. I agree to keep all replicas covered, bagged, or boxed when arriving at or leaving the event site. I agree not to display, brandish, or carry airsoft replicas in public areas outside the event in a way that may cause alarm or distress.
10. Alcohol, Drugs and Unsafe Behaviour
I agree not to take part while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any substance that may affect judgement, coordination, reaction time, or safe participation. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who appears unfit to play. Aggressive behaviour, threatening behaviour, fighting, deliberate unsafe play, abusive language towards staff or marshals, cheating, repeated rule breaches, or behaviour that puts others at risk may result in removal from the event without refund.
11. Removal From Event
I understand that failure to follow the rules, safety briefing, marshal instructions, site rules, or health and safety requirements may result in removal from the event. I understand that if I am removed from the event due to unsafe behaviour, rule breaches, aggression, unsuitable equipment, unsuitable footwear, intoxication, or failure to follow marshal instructions, any event fees paid may be forfeit. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to refuse future bookings where a participant has acted dangerously, dishonestly, aggressively, or in breach of event rules.
12. Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses
I agree to report any accident, injury, near miss, unsafe condition, equipment failure, dangerous behaviour, or rule breach to a marshal or member of staff immediately. Gangsta City Airsoft may record accidents, incidents, near misses, medical issues, equipment failures, or rule breaches for safety, insurance, legal, and operational purposes. Where required by law, serious incidents may be reported to the relevant authority.
13. First Aid and Emergency Medical Treatment
If I require first aid or emergency assistance, I consent to reasonable first aid being provided by appointed first aiders, event staff, or emergency responders. I understand that relevant medical information may need to be shared with first aiders, emergency services, or event staff where necessary for my safety or treatment. I agree to provide accurate emergency contact details when requested.
14. Photography, Video and Marketing
I understand that photography and video may be taken at Gangsta City Airsoft events for promotional, operational, and business purposes. I consent to Gangsta City Airsoft and its marketing teams using my image in digital or print media connected with Gangsta City Airsoft, its events, and its partners, unless I have explicitly opted out in writing. If I do not wish to be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes, I agree to notify Gangsta City Airsoft in writing before the event by emailing: gangstacityairsoftevents@gmail.com. I understand that Gangsta City Airsoft will take reasonable steps to respect photo and video opt-out requests, but I also understand that crowd scenes, background appearances, and live event environments may make complete exclusion difficult.
15. Booking, Cancellation, Refunds and Transfers
I understand that booking terms, cancellation terms, refund terms, and transfer terms are stated on the Gangsta City Airsoft website and apply to the event I have booked onto. I understand that failure to attend, late arrival, refusal to follow rules, unsuitable footwear, unsafe equipment, intoxication, or removal from the event due to rule breaches may result in loss of event fees. Gangsta City Airsoft reserves the right to cancel, postpone, alter, or stop an event where necessary due to safety concerns, severe weather, site conditions, operational issues, low attendance, emergency situations, or circumstances outside its reasonable control. Where Gangsta City Airsoft cancels or postpones an event, the applicable cancellation, refund, or transfer policy stated on the website will apply.
16. Personal Responsibility and Damage
I accept responsibility for my own conduct, equipment, belongings, and compliance with the rules. I accept responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or cost caused by my own reckless, careless, deliberate, dishonest, or rule-breaking behaviour. I understand that Gangsta City Airsoft is not responsible for personal belongings, lost property, theft, or damage to personal equipment unless caused by circumstances for which Gangsta City Airsoft is legally responsible.
17. Legal Liability
I understand and accept the normal and inherent risks associated with taking part in airsoft. I agree that I will not bring any claim against Gangsta City Airsoft, its employees, marshals, representatives, first aiders, contractors, landowners, or event partners for injury, loss, or damage arising from my own failure to follow the rules, my own unsafe conduct, or the inherent risks of the activity. Nothing in this agreement is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
